Because fireproof,impact and flexibility performance of mgo board is better than fiber cement board and gypsum board, moisture,termite and mildew resistant is better than wood panel.

- Most of mgo board are limit to use in low humidity environment, because original mgo board is air harden materials,it’s water safe, but not waterproof.
- Mgo board’s product category belongs to cement bonded wood particle board(CBPB), and all the CBPB’s wet expansion rate is larger than fiber cement,lower than wood panel in heat and wet recycle environment. Mgo board is next generation CBPB,lighter,higher strength and better fireproof.
- Only few of reinforced mgo board has been tested and approval to use in wet application, but still need to check wet expansion before design.
How to certain a mgo board can use in wet application?
- Need to check durability result under En 12467/ASTM C 1186, strength remain should > 0.75
- Minimize wood particle volume, make sure of low water absorption and wet expansion rate close to fiber cement.
How to aviod risks of purchasing wrong MGO board?
- Purchase from certified distributor or factory, which got BBA/ CE or UL/ETL/CCRR approval
- Find a professional MGO board consutant company,control manufacturing process and final inspection.
